This place is on the hop-on hop-off canal ferry route which is an interesting way to both see the city and visit the canals such as this.

Walk along the canal and enjoy the views. The sides of the canal are lively and fun to walk along them.

Don’t get all the enthusiasm for the Keizersgracht Canal, thought the Reguliersgracht, Rokin and Herengracht Canals were just as good, if not better. Maybe expectations were too high, due to the high ratings on Tripadvisor.

Take the time to wander along Keizersgracht, each side, and the streets that run off it. Could take a few days. Then you could say the you've been to Amsterdam!

This is one of the best know canals in Amsterdam and we decided to walk along it to see the buildings rather than take a boat. Really worth it but make sure you have your walking shoes on as you can walk for miles.

Although we had walked it we learned so much more about it on a canal boat tour. What beauty and what history! Alive with people, life, canal boats! Gorgeous!

Canal Ring (Grachtengordel)
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically
significant as it is perennially popular. Whether
you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast,
shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the
Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the
Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get
lost in a moody meander and a key component to any
sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws
