One of the prettiest canals to walk along - but beware the bicycles. Sidewalks being narrow and with parked bicycles you are frequently forces into their path. Nonetheless the canal is so pretty - you'll see the same views, such as the Golden Bend that...More

This is a great area to mooch about, lots of independent shops and bars. Check out Di Vino on Boomstraat or the many other small cafes that do lunch and dinner.

Simply walk along this beautiful “street“, enjoy the atmosphere and have a look at the houses. There were not many tourists but be careful with all the bikes. Also great to enjoy during a boat trip.

Walking along the canal brings me back in time and to a much different culture. Don't expect to move quickly as you walk along and take the time to sit and watch the waterway and the passers by.

The green Hop on Hop Off tour boat takes you down here, the characteristic houses of the canals are somewhat wider on this stretch but every bit as beautiful in terms of Gables
