Grab a free ferry (NDSM ferry) for a free ride up the amstel and hop off at the north side of the city!! Lots of things to see and photograph on the way!

By foot or by tour boat, the river provides an expansive view of the city, in contact to the smaller sheets and canals.

You are close of the city center where everithing hapens! It is calm and great, we felt safe to walk in the night.

It was never still ...it was so interesting with the different boats and water vessels that use the river. The bridges are also special to learn the history and watch them raise when the boats needed to pass. Just sit and enjoy.

The main canal is beautiful, but the smaller side canals are the ones with the charm. This is why tourists come to Amsterdam.

One can have great views on the many bridges and tourist spots from the leisure canal boat ride along the different canals. Worth to try while travelling in Amsterdam.

Walk along and across the Amstel for wonderful views of the historic bridge and the modern Opera House. The Hermitage Museum overlooks the Amstel, keep walking and you will come to the Hortus Botanicus

The river of Amsterdam which you can see from a good boat trip. But it’s the smaller canals that have the charm of this great city
