Were grateful to find some places here to sit down on a hot day after lots of walking. Generally Amsterdam seems lacking in benches!! The statue of Rembrandt is beautiful and the surrounding NightWatch figures great. Unfortunately tourists who are constantly climbing on and trying...More

This was just round the corner from our hotel - a great bustling square was plenty of bars and restaurants. A highlight for me was street art sellers exhibiting at the weekend

The square to be when in Amsterdam. Choose a nice terrace and enjoy your drink while watching the passersby

One of the best places in the city, either to relax or smoke during the day or for a night out. The square is lined with bars, cafes and shops so its perfect. Good place to people watch.

Many pubs and restaurants around the square. People gather just to hang out, eat and drink or to party late at night. Sometimes there are street performers and in weekends there's a small market. Nice to sit and have a bite and a beer.

Sure this location is a tourist trap, but part of the attraction of this city is locations like this. Great bars, ample restaurants and of course coffee shops to choose from.
