This museum, together with the extremely helpful audio guide, provides an excellent chronology of Van Gogh's important work as well as an understanding of his influencers and state of mind during various periods of his life work.

I always loved his work and my visit to Amsterdam this month made it all possible. It’s great to see his work, to see people that inspired him. And also The Sunflowers, The Iris, and self portraits was really awesome. I will defiantly recommend to...More

It's Ok for a visit but be warned it will be very busy with lots of people crowding around the popular artworks making it difficult for others to see it. Why you would have to stand and look at a painting for 20 - 30...More

Make sure to book tickets online and be there 15 min before your scheduled entry. Audio guide is very informative. The order is confusing though and best not to follow it. If you have 1-1.5 hours, go through it floor by floor. Spend time on...More

A well laid out display of Van Gogh's work but a little confusing as it wasn't presented chronologically. The 5 euro for the headset was money well spent as the narration added nicely to what I was looking at. Just too bad that there were...More

It’s summer, it’s hot, and Amsterdam is packed. Even with the prebooked tickets the Museum was packed. The sheer volume of people made it hard to appreciate the paintings at some points. Also remember not to take pictures - you get in the way and...More

You will love it! We love every minute of it! You get to know more about Vincent Van Gogh. Such an intelligent man! His artworks are eye opener, too! It's different looking at the real things from just pictures online. A must go!

Sorry, I do not. Buy your tickets at the kiosk before you get to the Museum. Line incredibly long at the Museum (hours). But, you may have to make an appointment to go to museum at a future date and time. Best way, though.
