Came across it while doing Rick Steves tour - it is a hidden church in a bust shopping street. Worth a look.

Unusual location though there is a poster outside the entrance which itself has a lovely tiled religious image. The church dates from the 1880s so plenty of art deco material in the building which encases the body of the church. The church itself is well...More

There are a few hidden churches in the Netherlands and they are all part of the history. This one is down the main shopping street and worth a look. There is a little shop inside. A donation is requested to help with the upkeep.

It's like the scavenger hunt you did as a kid to find this place. Very pretty inside, very small and easy to walk right by as you make your way down Kalverstraat. If you are a Catholic ,which we were, and you're visiting Rome, also...More

This oasis of calm is hidden in plain view along Kalverstraat, one of the busiest streets in Amsterdam. In amongst all the modern shops there is a frontage that is out of character with it's surroundings, yet you could easily miss it and walk straight...More
