We had tickets to the Van Gogh Museum, and happened to learn of the Banksy exhibit at the MOCO. Luckily my daughters know of him, and I must admit we were two of the older people in the exhibit, lol. Like walking through an old...More
Great place , enjoy it so much. Easy to find with tram from central station. Park and ride zuiderland. Book the visit per internet before and no waiting at entrace. My 8 year old Boy enjoy it too. Must see!
We were intending to go to another museum but decided against it and instead saw this one. We were pleased with our choice and although a small building and can be tight at time if lots of people, we enjoyed the museum and found the...More
This museum reminds me of the Renwick back home (Washington, DC) - a cool old building with rooms of artwork from traveling exhibits. There were 2 primary exhibits - Banksy and Icy & Sot. Both were excellent and timely. The museum provides important background about...More
I was lucky enough to see the Banksy exhibit in this lovely, intimate setting. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was moderately crowded. The museum is not large but the exhibit was well curated and explained. Also had a good intro to Icy...More
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping
destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
