The bridge is named after Major-General John Dutton Frost (1912–1993), who commanded the British forces that reached and defended the bridge during the Battle of Arnhem in September 1944.

Very interesting to see this bridge and understand its place in the history of WW2. Good displays in the area and an attractive waterfront on the banks of the Rhine river - sadly low in its water level because of the acute drought this year...More

Neat experience walking over the bridge, met some folks from England who were visiting during the anniversary of Op Market Garden. Lots of history, and neat to see the "real thing" from the film "A Bridge Too Far."

We just had to cross this famous bridge. Ok it's not the most thrilling of adventures but think of it's unique history and that gets the juices flowing.

As a boy, I remember watching the film 'A Bridge Too Far' and never thought I'd actually get to see the place where it all happened. This is the place where the allies tried to end the war sooner by an ambitious drive through Holland...More
