Stopped here whilst walking by - fun gigantic sculpture to climb on. Be careful as it has sand in it and was slippery. Kids would love it.

We visited the Aardvark which was developed in front of the library and finished some years ago. Seems like it would be a nice place for kids to gather during the spring and summer.

This landmark sculpture, since it was gifted to the City of Arnhem by the Burger's Zoo, is worth a curious look and a photo or two but other than that it does not justify a great deal of your tourism time... There is plenty of...More

I haappen to stay right next to this creature which was a present from the zoo to the city. Lots of kids play on it, something different . Located near the market, bit messy around the monument. I would not go too much out of...More

This "feestaardvarken" (party ardvak) is an artwork. It's huge thing and was used as a climbing playground. That's why the warning sign "This ardvak is an artwork, climbing is absolutely your own risk". The location is on a corner of a busy shopping area. Beautiful?,...More

Located in the center near the other things to see this is a interesting large sculpture of an aardvark. It definitely is the best aardvark sculpture I have seen and is also the only one. There is sand in it because people can climb on...More

To get a great view of the aardvark go into the library and go up to the 5th floor terrace. There is an elevator. Sure, the aardvark just lays there but how can you not laugh.

Public art you get to actually interact with is the best. You haven't truly seen the aardvark until you lie on its belly.

This is a huge piece of art near the new library near the city centre. It's big and nice as kids have a lot if fun climbing it. Not entirely without risks. Be sure they have old cloths on....as the material eats pants.

Still not sure where this idea came from. It is I don't know, beautiful and ugly at the same time, but hey, when in Arnhem you might as well go and have a look at it.
