Great location across the Glacier from the Gornergrat Bahn. Used the hut to climb the mountain in 1991. but is a good overnight for enthusiastic walkers to experience the high mountains at night.

The trek was pretty tough, a guide is unnecessary but would do good. Grand views, great place to stay, good dinner .. thats what i called hiking :D

....need to like hiking and it's good to go there with a guide... The view is spectacular..get up at 5 am, 5.30 am to see the sunrising the food is good... At ten p.m. everyone is asleep... Beds are fine..
