In the summer when there are international events, as concerts and Movies, or in the other periods, piazza Locarno is ever enchanting

The Piazza Grande is quite famous. Not that spectacular, but quite nice as it is a car free zone. A few restaurants and shops there.

This place reflects more than just a pedestrian area. It is a time stamp of the past, old architecture of the finest. Take a walk, look up the buildings, look down at the old style pavement. Walk up the small roads in to the old...More

Definitely a visit...Film Festival is great here as is the Moon & Stars concerts in July. Lots of restaurants and bars for coffee and eating all year plus shops galore.

During Locarno film festival the piazza changes. It becomes a green screen of which millions of people come to see their dreams and their fantasies projected there.

If you're in Locarno, you must at least walk across the Piazza Grande. The buildings are beautiful and you're sure to find the perfect cafe for a coffee or drink.
