Well-Marked Day Hiking Trails, Lovely Views
Aug 2018 • Couples
There are several excellent trails above Arosa offering easy options for day hiking on well-marked routes.

From the Mittelstation, the hike over to the Schwellensee follows a gravel trail that meanders by the ski slopes and ski lift before it reaches the Alpenblick Hut and, eventually, descends on a pretty section to the lake. There, you can have a wonderful "sensearound" experience listening to the meltwaters falling down from the surrounding high glaciers.

In the opposite direction from the Mittelstation, the hike over to Rit Trott passes by some majestic scenery and several areas where cows graze by small ponds. Along the way, it's very easy to feel away from it all -- there's not a ski apparatus in sight, some of the views of the Schanfigg Valley are truly sublime, and there are only hikers and trekkers in this section, not casual strollers.

If you come to do day hiking in the summer, you'll find lots of good options off of the Mittelstation above Arosa.

Hikers paradise
Oct 2017 • Family
We came for two days to walk around Arosa and various alps.

All hiking trails were well marked and had excellent explanations.

Our visit was in October right before the closure of many hotels for the intermediate season between summer and winter. Hence not many people around so we were able to enjoy the region with fantastic outlooks.

The best place to walk
Jul 2016 • Friends
So many place I wonder if I will cover them all even if I am walking every day when I am in Arosa, I am there often...This is a pure paradise with diverse excursions. You may take it easy or go for very demanding alpine tours... all is possible, you choose!
