Impressive ride on the train. The train itself is amazing and the engineering behind the whole thing is a wonder. It's so steep that it almost feels like a lift but smoother and the views are incredible!
They just replaced the old train with a new one.
It is the steepest funicular railway in the world. Definitely worth a visit. You should buy a day pass, that allows you to travel from one peak to the other. Great for a family outing.

I recently visited latest Stoosbahn and was really impressed by the engineering achievement. Something the Swiss can be really proud of. Worth visiting even if you don't intend to go up the next leg to the top of the mountains.
OK, may be this train is the "most something" in the world, may be there were amazing engineering solutions - but since we are coming to enjoy the nature - this train is nothing special. Not cheap and crowded.
