A historical building that I had hoped to visit properly but unfortunately you need a guided tour and none was available within the timeframe that I was there. The Castle is a notable site in Neuchatel from the outside.

This imposing building (once apparently the home of the King of Prussia) is a decent uphill hike from the lake or the centre of town but it is quite charming. Do check the opening hours if you want a guided tour. It is currently open...More

The Chateau is one of the highest points of a visit to Neuchatel. However it takes 8 minutes walking from Place Pury. The chateau is now the seat of local government and is open for tourists only on weekends.

I enjoyed my visit to this historical castle which ultimately housed the King of Prussia. Functions now as a civic building and court. Interesting architecture and design. Guided visits start under the arch. Times are noted so wait for the guide to show up.

The views overlooking the lake and the city of Neuchatel are well worth the countless steps you need to climb. The castle itself is just as beautiful and spectacular! Well worth a look!

The Chateau is a beautiful building on the outside. The inside is used as office space so I was only able to see the interior courtyard.

I visited the Chateau today, beautiful views and amazing structure, just wish I could have seen some of the inside!

we visited the castle with family in Dec 2016. We didn't go inside as we didn't have time, but from outside, it looked very beautiful and from the top it had great view of the old town and the lake,
