The Jesuitenkirche (Jesuit Church) on the Reuss River is simply beautiful with a wonderful celebration of St Xavier.

Well worth the stop to see this lovely interior. Different than so many dark, gothic-like structures. Right at the river, easy to stop in while strolling through town.

This spectacular church is a focal point in Lucerne and a place that really must be admired inside & out. It is the first large baroque church built in Switzerland north of the Alps. In the distance Mount Pilatus can be seen in all its...More

So glad I went in to see this church. A work of art and so peaceful. There is beauty all around. Pictures do it no justice.

Easy to find - close to the station and old town. Spectacular ceiling and altar - murals and marble stonework - but look for the carved wooden features - pulpits.

I have been in many churches throughout Europe and this is equal in beauty to many. There are often masses so you may need to adjust visit times. Worth you time to visit as it is very close to the Chapel Bridge
