We've learned a lot about the history of the city during this visit. The audioguides are really good (definitely take them!) and the temperature was very refreshing during the hot summer day :).

Any history enthusiast must make time for this when visiting Geneva. Through excavations and exhibitions below the cathedral, this site tells the story of the city of Geneva from it's earliest pre-Roman beginnings. Affordable (we paid 8 fr each and that included an audio guide)...More

The site under the cathedral is large with a well configured walkway. It is amazing to see building layers dating to 400 AD. Put this on your must-see list.

Not a bad place to visit especially after hiking up to the cathedral. The exhibits are well marked and the entrance fee of 8chf comes with am audio guide. Took me about 30mins to cover the entire place. If you need the washroom, please ask...More

This was an extremely well laid out archeological museum. It was even better than I expected. The history that is presented in such an easy to digest formate -- with models and CGI graphics, all against the "living" unearthed exhibits of excavated relics -- is...More

Amazing work to exhume the many centuries of history beneath the cathedral. Well documented, nicely displayed and very informative audio tour make for a good hour or two being transported into Geneva's past. Possibly a little claustrophobic for anyone with an issue of enclosed spaces.

It is a very large area that you can spend hours or 30 minutes exploring. It goes under the Cathedrale with an audio tour and well marked signage of what you are looking at. Amazing work.

Stumbled on this as the cathedral was not yet opened. Turned out to be the best sight in Geneva. Charts the development of the site from a small church to today's cathedral (Calvin used to preach here) as well as the founding and growth of...More
