This is Umbria's largest church. It is huge but sadly there is very little to see inside. It is very bare. There is a large stained glass window behind the altar and not much else.

It's a bit austere inside and out, but it is a perfect example of the Italian Christian spirit of the times: huge to provide awe and a sense of peace with simple frescos to teach the classic religious stories. There was a renovation after some...More

This place you should visit while in Perugia. Not one of the great Italian churches but still worth seeing. You can get spoiled for special churches in Italy so it is unfair to be critical of this one. Sadly no photo taking inside.

This is a beautifully appointed church. The stained glass, marble and frescoes are still beautiful after all these years. There is some damage that only adds to the beautiful of its timelessness.

The church is very attractive with the usual beautiful ceilings. Not quite like Assisi but certainly well worth the visit because of the surrounding medieval buildings.

Wow. Italy does not have a lot of stained glass. The window in this church was amazing - beautiful colors, fine craftsmanship, and huge - well

Italy does not have a lot of stained glass. The window in this church was amazing - beautiful colors, fine craftsmanship, and huge - well worth a visit. Also noteworthy were the 14th century frescoes - damaged but still amazing.

Attractive exterior but interior is almost completely empty. Very few decorations. Looks like a huge concrete structure that happens to be a church. Location is adjacent to archaeological museum which is worth a visit.

We visited this church recently while on a walking tour of Perugia. Our daughter and son-in-law lived in Perugia for ten months soon after being married.

Smallish church in town square. Beautiful paintings. A lovely place to spend a little quiet time. Be sure to spend some time at the fountain outside.
