Though much less famous, the bell tower of this lovely church leans at an even more impressive angle than it’s more famous cousin across the city. The church wasn’t open sadly, but we were able to park up and have a picnic beside the Arno,...More

A lovely little church on the other side of the Arno in a quite part of Pisa. This one has a bell tower that leans just like its famous cousin in the tourist part of town.

Charming. . A bit far off the center but very nice walk along the river.. ideally by bike. If you have more days here this is a good site.

Inside has a 13th C. Crucifix. We learned that the word Scalzi refers to the barefoot Monks that were associated with the church.

This beautiful, medieval church is situated near to the Arno river. You can appreciate the building also from outside, because it has a leaning tower bell. A very nice view!
