For only 3 euros each you can walk 3 km of city walls. This gives you great views of the leaning tower and surrounding buildings. The walls were not that busy so we had a leisurely walk a roof level around the city.

For such cheap admission it is great to visit the walls and get a different view of the Square of Miracles and all of the monuments. You can take great pictures and there are not so many people on the walls. It is a lovely...More

The walls are not open all the time, so when arrange tours enquire from the tour guides about the opening period. It's a 3.1 km walk with awesome views of the city and the complex that the Pisa Tower is located in.

Walking along the top of the ancient City walls is always going to be a worthwhile experience. You get a different, and much less crowded view, of the field of dreams, then a pleasant walk. Slight shame that the walk dumps you out near the...More

Our guide took us on a lengthy walk on the exterior of the walls, finally entering by Via S. Ranierino. The walls reach a height of nine metres with a further two metres below ground, possibly the foundations. They are reputed to be the longest...More
