Maybe too early in the year just a quiet area to sit it is on the otherside of the river, locals use the steps for fitness.

This is a wonderfully shady park near the Arno River. There is a fairly large play area for children as well as benches for people to rest in the quiet shade. You also have a good view of some of the historic fortifications around Pisa.
