This is a commercial site, but it was very interesting with models of his inventions that you could try out.

I wandered in to this exhibit by chance, and was completely captivated for almost an hour. There are many tableaux of DaVinci's machines, as well as more modern art expressing wonderment of his creations and discoveries. Definitely worth going into if you're rambling around Lucca.

The museum is located inside a beautiful old church, and although they fit a lot into one room, it feels spacious. The exhibits are wonderful, each with helpful explanations in Italian and English. I didn't count, but there must be nearly twenty interactive exhibits, many...More

We spent the besst part of 21/2 hours here and found the whole exhibit most interesting. The video at the end is well worth watching and givees a lot of insights in to the man and the times he lived in

Replicas of a score of Leonardo's machines, beautifully constructed showing fine craftsmanship, many of them can be operated by the visitor.
