Other than walking through parts of the town and a few museums which are worth the visit, there is not much to do in Lucca. So we decided to go to the Duomo. It was worth the visit. Plenty of artwork and statues to admire....More

We have been living in Italy for some years and know the difference in peoples’ attitude in tourist cities like Venice and Florence compared to for example Modena and Bologna. We were however completely unprepared for the rudendess of the people of Lucca. Everybody from...More

Not only for the Tintoretto painting. Still, just walking around the medieval part of Lucca and along the walls is worthwhile.

What a stunning jewel in Lucca And free entry. It's a great example of it's kind with a nice position in the town and nice places to eat and drink nearby.

Very nice, very old. Spend a few moments, sitting inside. An old relic lies inside. Must see in Lucca!

One of the so many beautiful churches of central Italy. It was striking to see that the facade was non-symetrail because of the tower. It was serendipitous that our visit corresponded to a half hour violin concert.
