A beautiful old town is Lucca. Basking in its reputation as the birthplace of Puccini. But it has s lot more to offer. And as in most Italian cities the cathedral is a gem. Inside and our. Recommended

Stunning cathedral in a beautiful city. Climbing the bell tower is an amazing experience - not for the faint-hearted, there are metal grid, see through steps on the inside of the building which go up and up very high. Fantastic view of Lucca and surrounding...More

For a small town, the Cathedral in Lucca is surprisingly crammed with beautiful art, much from the 15 th century. Well worth a visit.

In my opinion one of the pretiest frontal facade with thre big arches with three ranges of galleries above them. Every column is different. You can't miss this gem located in the central square of Lucca.

Beautiful Dumo to see which can include a ticket for the tower. The tower steps are steel and see through, so can be a bit 'hairy' if not a lover of heights.

Lucca’s Duomo is a beautiful cathedral, not as impressive as some other cathedrals but beautiful nonetheless. The roof is beautiful and the stained glass windows light up different spots in the cathedral differently through the day. At the moment, September 2018, the front of the...More

Well worth a visit if you are into churches and like doing culture. It’s worth the entrance fee. High vaulted roof, paintings and religious artefacts. All of the traditional and usual things that you would expect from your average Catholic cathedral.
