If you know even the slightest about opera the Puccini Museum is not to be missed. It has been created in Puccini's home in the heart of Lucca and has some of the most interesting artifacts including costumes, original scores with hand written notes, etc....More

Unless you know and appreciate Puccini's work, you probably won't find much of interest here. Madame Butterfly gowns were spectacular and there is some interesting history tidbits. If you got a some time and you're in the area, it's probably worthwhile, but otherwise don't go...More

Interesting museum set in Puccini’s birth home, with information in Italian and English about his life, family and music including photographs, paintings, letters, manuscripts, costumes, etc.

Granted this has very historical significance as the birthplace of Puccini and I certainly would say that, at the price, it is worth visiting. However it is very sparsely furnished and is more a museum to letters/music scores. Well routed tour with good audio but...More

Don't forget to buy your ticket across the square before you enter the museum. The museum itself is in the house where Puccini lived with his family. You can see letters, sheets of music written by Puccini of course, pictures. You will get a map...More

It is always a wonderful place to visit and re-visit. A very informative introduction to the Maestro and his operas. Periodically there are new additions made making it a place to visit again. And a room not to missed is the Turandot room with its...More

Well worth a visit for any opera fan. Seeing the detail of his life up close and personal was wonderful. Entrance fee reasonable.
