A large local church in the middle of Florence. A room for silence in a town overcrowded with tourists. Very nice paintings and statues.

We attended mass here on Easter Sunday and it was incredible! Everything was very beautiful and reverent. The backdrop of stunning architecture and bright sun streaming in through the south facing windows made for a heavenly experience. Was a memorable way to begin our holiday!!

I find the best way to experience a church like this is to sit in a pew and take time to look around and soak in the surroundings. This is lavishly decorated and well worth a visit.

Santi Michele e Gaetano is quite an interesting church. From an architectural point of view it is a gem and it would be worth a visit if you are in the vicinity.

The church is also known as the Church of Santi Michele e Gaetano. Building took place between 1604 and 1648. Not well known by the tourists, but I encourage anyone in love with art to stop by and admire it.

Here is another beautiful church in Florence. A lovely exterior with statues on its facade. If you are in florence you have to visit some of these smaller churches which are just as beautiful as the large ones.
