Very grand, very elegant. Huge paintings in the huge room. Other rooms that seem to go on and on. The tower was also interesting, as well as the hopeless-looking jail facilities.

You need a lot of time to do justice to this place. It is enormous and the internal decoration of the many rooms is spectacular plus there are all the artistic treasures to digest. Behind are the Boboli Gardens which, although we visited on a...More

If you're an art lover, visit this council office of Medici family. The architecture is amazing. It was also used in the movie "Inferno" where Dante's mask was kept. Now, there is another mask in black, which is kept inside Dante's house in Florence, along...More

A piece of Florence history in the beautiful "piazza della signoria". It is quite interesting to browse through the rooms to see the Medici ruled the city.

David and Hercules are standing guard in front of Palazzo Vecchio, and if the exterior of the building resemble a fortified castle, the interior is a delight of Italian renaissance. The ceilings and frescoes are sumptuous and the art exhibited priceless. A must visit, not...More

This was far more decorative inside than I expected and the rooms are pretty impressive. The ceilings in particular are amazing. It seems to be only open restricted hours though and closed during the afternoon which isn't very tourist friendly.
