My friend & I sat in the sun spilling cocktails (sun downers) watching the world go by & could not think of a more perfect place after being in Florence after a few days. We had noticed a number of restaurants but this was ideal,...More

Wonderful location, glamorous atmosphere, great food, courteous and pleasant staff. To top it all - superb view of the vibrant square. All the ingredients for a lovely evening. Go for it.

I had the buratta and the truffle pasta, both dishes were simple and yet wonderful. You could clearly tell the ingredients were good quality. The servers were wonderful and it had a great view of the square.

Location is absolutely fantastic and as such this is a real tourist trap and the prices match this e.g €9 for an alcohol free beer, €8 for a small coke, €25 for a smallish fillet of bass, (it tasted very good). €3 per head to...More

Visiting in Florence for a week, Gilli was recommended by a local for morning pastries and we were hooked from the first bite. Went there every morning and thought everything was top notch, plus prices were very low (many pastries are only about one euro,...More

We should have known based on location it would not be a great experience. After touring Florence for a couple of hours we decided to take a break. It took almost 20 mins to even get acknowledged by a server after being seated. We were...More

Loved sitting here in the evening sipping on a cocktail watching the world wander by. Great ambience but definitely a bit pricey. Worth one though.

This place is clearly trading on it's past reputation and sadly resting on it's laurels. Expect to pay over the odds because of the location in the Piazza della Repubblica, but be aware, they are charging the same inflated price for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic...More

The location of the place is excelent - in the heart of Florence. They have a great tradition , a lot of trained staff, but somehow the service is slow. They just don't raise the service to their standards... The prices are higher then in...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
