We drove the narrow, windy road up to Cortona. We parked in a lot and took an escalator up to the top- what a pleasant surprise to find an escalator! When you arrive at the top you are treated to the most spectacular views of...More

Despite the tourist crowd, this beautiful town with striking position, still retains its medieval atmosphere. Don’t walk only along the main street, the real beauty of the city is kept in its narrow streets twisting at impossible angles. The views from here are hard to...More

Consider yourself lucky in life if you reach this summit. Best to go by yourself, so you can linger and appreciate the moment without being rushed by a schedule.

My goodness, what magnificent views from cortona. Absolutely stunning. We parked a bit further down and took the escalators built into the hills which was very helpful.

This is something you just have to see! We were there just before sunset, which adds to the light over the wide valley. From Lago Trasimeno to Monte Amiata and Montepulciano!

Wandering around the City of Cortona - this view from Piazza Garibaldi is wonderful. You can see the Roman Roads (the straight ones!) lead in and out of the hilltop town and the view south towards Lake Trasimeno and Ossia is beautiful. Sunset is magical.
