Hand painted! No decals or stencils. Each ceramic piece is hand painted with love and incredible skill. The trouble is, you’ll want to take home more than you can carry. You can even have custom designs on your ceramics! You can see the ceramics being...More

My partner and I stumbled upon this amazing little ceramic shop, just off of Piazza San Giuseppe, on our last trip to Ortigia. The owner, Domenica, received her training as a ceramicist in Caltagirona. Her work is not the typical tourist souvenirs that you see...More

If it hadn't been for another local artist (Helene Moreau), we would have never met this wonderful artist. We had a wonderful conversation with the artist and she shared so much cultural aspects of the art. We loved many pieces and bought a few. If...More

We spent a few days wandering the streets of Siracusa’s old city Ortigia. Amidst the museums, piazzas and churches, we saw lots of beautiful ceramics for sale. Wanting to bring some home, we wondered which vendors had quality hand made products, and which were mass...More

We join others in our praise for this lovely work and delightful artist. She is warm and very helpful. We were primed to look for this shop by friends in Berkeley who came home with a beautiful platter with design of an ancient fish. We...More

A perfect gift to take home of a holiday place to remind you of Via Larga, Syracuse,(Ortigia) Sicily . It’s worth taking the trouble to find. A few minutes stroll from the main shopping streets in Ortigia – a studio and shop where the artist...More

We walked past this shop and fell in love with one of the pinecone lamps in the window. Though the shop was closed, we were able to buy an absolutely wonderful blue lamp just by emailing Domenica. The lamp is top-quality ceramic, and the perfect...More

I had the pleasure of shopping for souvenirs from Sicily (small so they fit in my carry-on luggage) in a charming shop in Ortigia. The owner/potter/artist was there and one could watch her at work in her adjoining atelier as you shopped. She was very...More

I'm so happy that you have had a great experience in my shop. thank you very much for your kind words.

Off the tourist path....You MUST find this hidden gem. The quality of the ceramics is like no other and you are not charged the "tourist" prices. They also ship to USA for a reasonable fee. The "potter"is a sweet heart. Beautiful pieces.
