A fabulous amphitheatre, still with its tunnels for the gladiators and animals but you can only look at it from a viewing point at one end.

This is still in good condition and shows how Roman theaters had places for the animals to come and go. Very interesting

Remarkably, this theatre was largely carved out of the bedrock rather than being built from excavated stone. Viewing it comes at the end of quite a tiring (for older folk) tour of the whole complex and you are likely to be worn out and pay...More

This is a unique arena as built onto the natural bedrock and one side has been built up more due to the natural landscape. A lot to see sadly parts are now closed off possibly due to safety. A cat an kittens make up for...More

The Greek theatre, Roman amphitheatre, Altar of Hieron, and Ear of Dionysius are all in the Archaeological Park with one entry fee of €10. It would have been nice to be able to walk right around the amphitheatre, but the path around one half was...More

The only open patway is around the amphiteater, it is not possible to walk down or get closer to the place. Compared to Rome, where it was possible to access all parts of Colloseum for example, this was really dissaponting visit.

It looked to be so good from a distance but most of the walkway round the amphitheatre was roped off. All we could do was walk along one side and then walk back again. Greek Theatre is much better.

I was breath-taken by these Roman ruins. They were phenomenally beautiful, calm and are definitely not to be missed! I almost didn't go because I had a train to catch, but at last minute wandered around here and the Ear of Dionysus, and they were...More

Part of the archaeological park, as a whole, what you see is mind blowing, a very important site, not to be missed.
