Beautiful Banyan trees. These are really fascinating and worth viewing. The park had a nice variety of plants and trees to visit. Its also well shaded during the hottest parts of the day.

The largest ficus trees that I have ever seen are growing in this park. They are probably ones of the largest of their species in Europe. Every single one is like a little forest by itself. Each one could accommodate dozen of thousand of birds on its branches. They have some sort of aerial roots. Simply amazing! About 90% of the ficus trees that I have seen in my life were poor little trees trying to survive in pots located in offices, hotels or apartments. The garden is protected by an amazing craft metal fence and host the statues of some historical personalities, including Giuseppe Garibaldi. Romanian people have an additional good reason for visiting the place: the statue of Nicolae Balcescu is located in this park.…

We arrived at the Giardino Garibaldi only by chance as we passed through Marina Square on our way to the Puppets Museum. Upon arriving at the garden, we were amazed by the state of maintenance (lack of maintenance) of the garden. Areas that have been looked that for a very long time have not seen a figure of gardeners or maintenance personnel. Empty ponds with no water, full of dirt, garbage and all the leafs that dropped out from the trees for a very long time. Fountains that do not work at all and according to their appearance seems to have been in this situation for an awfully long time. The only positive thing that can be written about this garden are the ancient Ficus trees “Ficus Magnolioides” that grow there and for many years have grown "many" Air Roots. If you are not an avid amateur of the "Ficus Magnolioides Trees" you have no special reason to visit this garden. "Wasted potential". It is a SHAME.…

This small park is within the medieval part of the town and was once a swamp. Nice paths to wander along, shady areas with benches and street vendors just outside selling gelato and cold drinks. Most famous for the huge Ficus macrophylla trees - apparently the largest in Europe - with roots coming down from the branches. Don't miss a visit to the Chiaramonte Palace next to the park. On Sundays, there is a huge second-hand/vintage market all around the perimeter of the park which is interesting to visit. It certainly doesn't take long to look around but it's a nice place to sit and have a break from your sightseeing in the shade and there are lots of restaurants and cafes in the vicinity if you need something to eat or drink.…

Nice place to relax from the sight seeing . We did get mosquito bites near the stagnant water . Just keep walking around. Plan at least one hour .
