Most Mt. Etna excursions stop at the Silvestri Craters on the lava-covered slopes, but with this exclusive tour you can reach the top of Europe’s highest active volcano with a volcanologist guide. Take a cable car and off-road vehicle to Torre del Filosofo and then continue on foot about a mile (2 kilometers) to the summit craters. Learn about the volcano’s history from your guide and enjoy sweeping views over the coastline.

A nice baroque church on the beautiful street Crocifieri. A surprise was to find out that for a small fee (4 euro) we had the possibility to visit the church and a guided tour in the cupola. The views over Catania and the interesting information from the guide worth both the money and the effort of climbing the step stairs.

Large church on the main street. Not as opulent as many others I went too but still worth visiting. One of few on this street.

You won't miss this church, as it is placed on via Etnea, therefore on the backbone of the city, and you shouldn't. It is a splendid example of this city's Baroque that begins, as you enter, from the holy water fonts, wrapped by towels sculpted out of marble with incredible detail. The central apse is magnificent and so are many paintings located in the aisles above Baroque altars.

another work of Cicilian Baroque style architect Francesco Battaglia built in the late 18th cet. Located on Via Etnea , unimpressive on the outside , neat and beautiful inside . Well kept Organ under a dramatic dome .
