If you are in Catania, this is a must. Honestly, it is not the most impressive Basilica I have seen in Italy, but that doesn't mean it isn't impressive! The open piazza and the elephant fountain all make for great photo ops.
Not as grand as some cathedrals in italy but still a must for catania. Can still see the parts from the pre-earthquake period. The facade us more impressive than the insude but tgat akso includes the tomb of Bellini
