It’s in construction so you can’t walk all around. You still have to pay for the entrance and you’re inside just a few minutes cause of renovation. And all the descriptions are in italian, I haven’t understood anything. And you actually see the hole anfiteather...More

This Roman amphitheater is currently under renovations was carved into the hillside. Even it is close you can see it just walking from around. The fence is quite transparent so you can see much of it. If you are up in the city like a...More

Although it s small They should open this to public it remains hidden like in a hole You would not notice it s there unless you search for it in maps You can take pictures from the fence but they should clean the surrounding and...More

Carved out of the hillside; very impressive. We were on an early yomp so couldn’t go in, but loved what we could see. Twits that say that it’s only of interest if you like ‘Roman things’ or it’s a bit dilapidated should stay in their...More

This is ok to see if you like roman stuff. It is 3 eiro to get in and you only get to go down a small ramp. Looks ok though. Not sure what renovation works are going on as nobody was working.

It is in reasonable condition, but they don’t really make the most of it as an attraction. The place has a run down feel, but it is definitely worth seeing. Couple your visit with a trip to the botanical garden next door.

The old Roman amphitheater is being restored and preserved currently (Dec 2017) and I don't think you can actually go inside at this time. You can see it from above through the fence if the plant growth is too bad.

This is a new dig, the excavation of Cagliari's Roman Amphitheatre. Unfortunately they were charging an arm and a leg, so we viewed it and snapped photos from the street overlooking the grounds. Would have wished to be more welcomed in.

Like others have said, there is not a lot to see close up and possibly not worth the (admittedly small) fee to go down into the amphitheatre. We were told that more access will be provided later in 2018, so might be worth checking then....More
