My landlady said "just visit the outside, inside is boring and not worth paying." So I listened. It is very picturesque and I was there several times a different times of the day to see how light changed it. I like it.

Even if one doesn't know the history of this gorgeous fortification it speaks for itself in terms of importance. A photographer's delight!

The renovation of the castle is well done. I believe not in function of the original aspect as it was destroyed several times, but probably in function of typical historical events. Worthwhile to be visited and cheap entrance price.

No roof or tower access. You have 5 Salas with art and that is about it. Not even a window to look out over the ocean or city. 3 Euros per a person and they Doo take credit card. We were done in 10 minutes....More

The castle is far larger than it looks! As you venture inside, you soon get an idea of the size and splendour that once adorned this massive structure. For only 3.00 euros it was well worth the money as you can spend a few hours...More

Nice architecture of this old castle. It can be visited inside. Entrance fee is 3 euro. A souvenirs shop is available. It is not very big but it worth the visit.

On Piazza Frederico II di Svevia, this imposing fortification of CastelloSvevo protects the town; it is rebuilt by the Normans and then transformed by the German/Italian emperor Frederick II into a mighty fortress.

As we like castles we opted to visit despite the mostly negative reviews. Fortress is located at the far end of the old town of Bari just before the cruise terminal. Entrance was 8 Euros each. This poor fortress is impressive on the outside but...More

Was extremely dissappointed with my visit to the castle. Appart from the film show about the history there was an exhibition of plaster casts and a singer. Not a lot to see of the actual building
