More Bari history, again best to visit with a guide to appreciate the history of the building. Details of the architecture etc well worth a visit. Regards David B

If nearby, there is enough of interest here to be worth walking in to explore it. Not worth being a destination IME though.

The church is very simple, nothing very special except the crypte and the beautiful ceiling. Alone for this worthwhile to visit.

Nice Byzantine Cattedrale di San Sabino, built in the late 12 century, a Romanesque style by the Normans and constructed on the ruins of an old Bzantine cathedrale destroyed in the 11 century.

It is worthwhile visiting this cathedral. The entrance is free and it is big enough to spend some time in. There is a crypt as well.
