It's not a pretty marina, certainly not worth a visit just to see it! few local boats, few benches and the sea to look at.

Here in the mornings you can see fishermen landing in small wooden boats with their catch. They sell it directly on the waterfront. You can buy for instance oysters for 10 euros. And if you do not want oysters, you can just enjoy the sea...More

We love walking along the water with palm trees and boats, so we often went there. Mostly it was relaxing, but on the weekend some event was happening and it because a hustle and bustle area with road blockages and lots of food stands going...More

In the morning it is very enjoyable to watch the fishermen bringing in their catch and setting it up for sale on small tables. They beat the octopus either by slamming it against the pavement or hitting it with a club. It is very much...More

Nice and relaxing view. You can sit at a terrace to admire old or new boats. You can see a panoramic view of the harbour from the big wheel.

Porto vecchio is Lungomare and is the picturesque place of Bari that I have in my mind, the simplicity, the boats, the fishermen and the sailing of the fishs; great atmosphere in the harbour of Bari.

There were not too many pedestrians strolling along the harbor other than some joggers in early morning. We were there on a weekend and there were only a couple of fishermen selling their catch. The blue colored wooden fishing boats moored at the bay characterized...More

My wife and I enjoyed the sights however the water was replete with garbage. The people of Bari, were warm and friendly. The harbour however should be cleaned up garbage which is everywhere – in the water on the porches etc.

The harbour area is typical Italian lots going on especially when the fishermen come in and set up their stalls to sell the catch of the day. The smell of the see and the animation is worth experiencing. Just wished I had a cooker as...More
