A long uphill walk under loggias protecting from bad weather connects the city to the Santuario, sitting on top of Monte Berico and containing a gorgeous Supper of St. Gregory by Paolo Veronese (1572). This church is busy with pilgrims all year long.

I walked here from Vicenza's city center; the walk is a nice walk and it really doesn't take that long - maybe 15 or 20 minutes? I missed the turn to walk under the carved archway on the way up, but I'm glad I did...More

It's the location that makes it so special, but also the cloister and several high quality paintings.

After walking all over the old town area for two days, we drove up to Monte Berico on a beautiful sunny day. Obviously this is a very popular place because we had trouble finding a parking place (perhaps it was because people were at Mass...More

the more you walk up the better you feel“Well the location was amazing” it's quite a walk up but it is worth it and you can always grab a coffee at the cafe right by it. The porticos are amazing on the way up

This area is very popular and no wonder why. The view over Avicenna is quite spectacular and it is a wonderful walk under w covered arcade to the top. We enjoyed this church and area very much.
