Venice although having breathtaking architecture and uniqueness in the form of waterway canals, is not a place for people with any knee issues. There is a lot of walking and motor vehicles are not allowed in Venice and there are a lot of bridges to...More

Extremely disappointed: had booked for group of adults and teenagers, booking process easy, arrived at identified location. Waited with various other people for approximately 40 minutes for guide to arrive. Did not receive any cancellation advice - neither did the other people who had booked....More

We did the morning tour with Elizabeth and enjoyed it so much we then did the afternoon tour with Matteo. The morning tour covers the quieter, often overlooked districts to the south of the Grand Canal (including a fantastic stop in St Pantalon's Church) and...More

I have been on many free tours around Europe and one of my favorite parts is learning new information I can’t easily find online or in guide books. This tour, however, was very straight forward and lacked originality. It was moderately informative, but I walked...More

This trip is ideal to do on your first day in Venice. Samuel got us really well oriented with Venice and it’s history. He spent just the right amount of time at each spot, shared some funny anecdotes and left us keen to explore further.

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

The free walking tour I did was 2 hrs long. The ghost tour was 1.5 hrs. I found the time ideal in both cases.
