As I have already mentioned in the other review, this was the best thing about Venice. She was interactive and funny. I saw Venice with a different perspective after the tour and that's a great thing. I strongly recommend a day tour with her. She...More

We booked this 3 hour walking tour with Simona, who took us behind the scenes of Venice. It was a fascinating and educational tour of Venice as it was hundreds of years ago to present. We had coffee at a charming coffee shop and she...More

We aren't opposed to the major destinations in Venice like Rialto and Piazza San Marcos, but we wanted something different. Simoma met our group of 10 near Campo dei Miracoli at 4:00 in the afternoon, and led a three hour tour of Venice neighborhoods showcasing...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
