A nice small church across from the Ferovia Vaporetto stop. You will pass it when walking by, Stop in as there was no cost.

We kept seeing this beautiful church walking, using the vaporetto so we decided to visit. As I said we were very impressed by the outside. I didn’t go down into the crypt because there is nothing electricity , they give you a candle

It's a beautiful church and I personally like the domed style from the inside. But the true experience of this church is the crypt. For just two euros you get and candle and go down to explore the almost completely dark crypt. It is pretty...More

Chiesa San Simeon Piccolo is an interesting building, as it is this church's huge dome you will see as you exit Santa Lucia Railway station. We walked past this church a number of times during our four days in Venice and we went inside once....More

First sight. This church is what you see when getting out from the train station. It looks beautiful from the outside. The inside is not impressive as other churches but still a typical catholic church

This is a nice place to sit on the steps and watch the world go by. Not much else to see inside. However burger king is just around the corner so it is handy and better to sit outside in the sun

Sitting majestically at the top end of the Grande Canale and by the Scalzi Bridge. If travelling by train into the city, this is the first thing you see when leaving the Santa Lucia railway station. This imposing church with four tall column at the...More

I am blind and tried to visit this this church with my guide dog. I was denied access even after explaining in Italian that he was a guide dog. My wife, daughter, and friends left with me. St. Francis would be proud, I felt humiliated.
