Such an iconic landmark! Nothing like it in the world. Even riding a water taxi or the ferry to Lido along the canal is an amazing experience. Can't miss it if you tried!

We stayed at the hotel on the grand canal and was lucky enough to get a canal view room. What a beautiful place. Lots of water taxis and gondolas around. Absolutely stunning.

There is nothing like Venice. No cars, just pedestrians and boats. A very unique experience. The Grand Canal is beautiful.

This is the most magical place on earth - like being in the pages of a history book. Take the local water buses and travel by day and night along the full length of this wonderful Canal.

Points to consider; Venice is cold right now. Travelling in an open gondola with kids may be a little miserable due to this. Also it rains a fair bit at present. There are no life vests that be seen. However gondolas are... More
