OMG! There are so many places to just relax and take in the city. This is the main drag and you can't miss it. We loved relaxing and sipping on wine.

Busy canal side with lots going on. Great for people watching, boat trips etc. Good for leisurely walks.

I do have to say that I'm a little disappointed at how abandoned some of the homes along the grand canal are. Which really took away some of the beauty of Venice.

We took a small privately owned motor boat tour on the Grand Canal and were just delighted. These young men can really handle their crafts in the very busy Grand Canal and gave us a wonderful feel of the grandeur and beauty of Venice.

Take the vaporetto, a full 24hrs travel from first swiping it Eur20, later on you can take the vaporetto along the Grand Canal. Exit the vaporetto at Rialto Bridge. Enjoy this stunning city.
