After the unrestrained exterior, the interior is "somewhat" more subdued. A magnificent organ is located above the entrance. A monumental high altar and altarpiece dominate the front. Highlight paintings areTintoretto’s Washing of the Feet and Palma il Giovane’s The Supper. Other paintings on the walls...More

This is beautiful, especially rally the outside where it is tucked in with high end stores. The inside is so quaint, not like other European church's that are just over the top. This church is different. We could not go by without stopping in and...More

Wife and I strolled past this one and got a quick snap. A beautiful facade of one of the many churches on Venice island.

The Chiesa di San Moise is a lovely church just west of St Marks. It lacks much of the gilt and grandiose features of large Catholic Churches.

I have no idea how we kept passing this church every day in a different direction. But you shortly arrive at St Mark's. The Church is beautiful inside but is overshadowed by the many numerous churches of Venice.

Don't miss this lovely church, it has free entrance, unlike many which charge. It has a fabulous and slightly unusual alter piece of Moses receiving the tablets of the 10 commandments. It has a beautiful ceiling and impressive organ and a lovely pieta.
