No one on the front desk advises you that once you go into the museum, everything is in Italian. We struggled to understand anything as we looked round. And with some of the dimmed lighting, could barely read some things to translate them. This museum...More

Good option to spend a couple of hours with the kids. We finished the whole museum in 2 hours. A mix of exhibits. Not very interactive compared to some similar museums in North America, but we still had a good time. Recommend if you need...More

Something different to see in Venice and packed full of interesting exhibits.however all the information is in Italian so getting an audio guide (comes in English or French) is an essential and at €3.50 is very reasonable. Had my two year old daughter who loved...More

Not the largest museum in the world but liked the way it's laid out with some great interactive exhibits. Did not realise that all the explanations were in Italian - have seen from other reviews here there is an English guide which we weren't aware...More

The entry price was low and good value. Heaps of exhibits and well laid out in the rooms running all the way along one side of the square. Great history from back in the day when Venice was a su-er power in its own right....More

Unlike some of the earlier reviewers, some of the museum was in English. Up until you pay your money and go through the door. After that the only thing we could understand was the dates, The museum obviously decided as a concession to non-Italians that...More

Admission prices were reasonable. And there was a free handy guide to borrow for your tour. The museum is split into sections. The lay out of the route is simple to follow, and the exhibits are well presented. There are lighting and sound effects, videos,...More

This museum is situated on the south bank of the Grand canal where the nearest ferry terminal is at San Stae and we got entry via our Venezia Unica museum pass. The museum housed collections of flora, fauna, palaeontology & ethnography which was amassed from...More

I suppose I should blame Marco Polo and other explorers for the hundreds of stuffed animals that they hunted down and brought back to Europe and which are on display at the museum. I NATURALly realize that it’s meant to be a NATURAL history museum,...More

Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district)
when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring
cars and buses close to the center of Venice.
Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking
Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes
with energy from travelers and students. Historic
palaces and former industrial buildings house some
departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture
