An incredible experience, to see Giotto's masterwork in the flesh. The only drawback is that the visit is strictly limited to 15 minutes, barely time to take a quarter of it in. So go there, then buy the book!

This is a must see in Padova/Padua, Italy! The care and restoration that has been given to this chapel full of Frescos shows pride and dedication! Although you must make reservations 24 hours in advance, it is well worth it! Beautiful beyond measure.

Not even the numerous online images I had seen of the Scovengi Chapel prepared me for experiencing it in person. I found it more aesthetically profound than the Sistine Chapel, perhaps because the Scovenghi has more of a sense of unity. One factor may also...More

The Scrovegni Chapel, with the Giotto frescoes are one of the must see once in the life places. You must reserve the place and the are limits in the number of persons that can enter, in order to preserve the frescoes, but the sublime art...More

While a hassle getting tickets (terrible website), all the effort was well worth the while. Giotto was truly one of the most gifted artists Europe has known and the frescos are beautiful, awe inspiring, . . . Only 15 minutes in the chapel is not...More

I can’t believe this place charges E13 for a ticket to the civic museum and the chapel but E10 for only the civic museum. You would think they would offer a ticket to the chapel only, but no. You have to pay the full E13....More

Of all the churches, chapels, cathedrals, and basilicas in Italy, the Scovegni Chapel remains unforgettable in its own uniqueness.

Truly amazing -- very rare frescos by Giotto -the visit was extremely well organized -- like clockwork. A must see.

Scrovegni Chapel is a beautiful, medieval chapel decorated with frescoes depicting Christ's conception, birth, crucifixion and resurrection along with a number of other themes. It's important to note that the access is controlled because the interior of the chapel is climate controlled. In practice, this...More
