A very nice church, located just few meters from Arena Chapel and well worth seeing it. Just a nice church

we enjoyed the space and the peace and found the frescos really interesting. It is amazing how much has been rebuilt and with so much attention to detail, we thought that just from the point of view of the bombings this was worth the time...More

Looks simple, empty, but you can see the scarves and its history. A great space, a different structure for a church...remaining fragments frescoes, the war wounds...

This church was almost entirely destroyed by Allied bombs in 1944-45, but has been beautifully restored and is well worth a visit. Unfortunately, the magnificent frescoes by Mantegna were almost entirely demolished, although reconstructions on the website and at the church itself help mitigate the...More

So many tourists rightly go to the Scrovengi chapel but then they skip the very large church next door. This was built in the 1100s under the patronage of a very wealthy family. Unfortunately it suffered terrible damage from Allied bombing in WWII, but the...More

We were they only two in this church when we visited. It is sparsely decorated and this makes the fresco's that are there very special. The church was badly bombed during World war II so this explains why it is so plain - a lot...More

This church is huge. People who say it's boring or nothing special should look a little more closely. Yes it's fairly simple now but once would have been sumptuous and still has things to inspire. It boasts a beautiful crucifix attributed to Giusta da Manabuoi...More

At first this church looks a little boring compared to the fresco laden nearby churches. It also is very different in style. It is huge, a little humble reflecting it's origins but look deepen at the alter and on each side. High decor has been...More
