I’ve been to Padova a few times, so I was looking for something off the beaten tourist track to do. Thanks to TA reviewers, (which is really changing the way we travel!) I found The Precinema Museum and because of the good reviews, I decided...More

Taking the tram SIR1 and stopping at Prato, you'll quickly notice this little museum inviting you for a visit. Of course, do go in! I was visiting places included in my 48-hour Padova Card. This one was in the "reduced fee" section and thankfully I...More

We enjoyed our little visit to this small and particular museum. It is a limited collection, but fascinating trove of early machines and images. Worth a visit if you are in the area and curious about such oddities.

We tend to forget how far long ago the precursors of film began. Many fascinating exhibits, including a camera obscura.

Uniquely curated, interactive, and informative exhibition. Even if you had never before wondered what visual miracles entertained people before the invention of cinema, you will find yourself fascinated by the collection at the Precinema museum. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful, so it is...More

This is a fascinating personal collection of precinema artifacts that has been converted into a well-organized small museum sponsored by the City of Padova. The museum does not take long to tour and is well worth the 5 Euro entrance fee. The employees of the...More

Astonishing. A must for animation-industry workers. Ubelievable, the Ponti device at the entrance for visitors to use. Ask for a quick demonstration at the ticket desk for the main attractions and usage of devices to experience a great visual treat. I can imagine someone interested...More
