We drive up the valley as far as we could until we were stopped by the snow. The scenery on a sunny day was quite superlative with amazing views of the Helbronner and Mont Blanc chain. You feel very close to the mountains.

A wonderful and exhilarating walk which last about 2 hours. The scenery is breath taking and if you want a break from skiing for the day, this is a must

A beautiful valley and with some easy and relatively short (1-2 hour) hikes. The excellent tourist office in Courmayer recommended some hikes and they were all fantastic. It's well worth buying the 5euro detailed map from them for this and other walks
