Very close to the Royal Palace, the Egyptian Museum and via Roma, the piazza was named for the palazzo Carignano, which represents one of the sides of the square. The palazzo houses the Accademia delle Scienze and is a beautiful Baroque building. On the opposite...More

Piazza Carignano is nice to see for tourist stud, near the Egyptian museum, with lots of cafes, stores, and old and ornate buildings. Clean, typical busy in some areas with traffic.

The piazza is unique in its elongated rectangular shape. It is quite charming and is close to the Egyptian museum and Via Roma. There is a 1986 novel, named after the piazza, by America author, Alain Elkann.

If you're walking around in the city centre, just a few steps away from the Egyptian museum, there is this lovely piazza which you really shouldn't miss once there. If Rome is mostly about fountains, Turin seems to be mostly about squares...this is one of...More
