One of the most important things to us when we travel to a new city is finding a private tour guide that is passionate about the city where they live. While we want to see the major highlights (even if they are where all the tourists are), we also want to see other aspects of the city that only a passionate local can provide. That is why we were so happy with Alice with Milan Private Tours on our first visit to Milan. Our half-day private tour covered the big ticket items including the Duomo and of course Alice got us our tickets to Leonardo’s Last Supper. Having her with us to explain the painting made for an unforgettable experience. But it is Alice’s passion for the city and her “hidden gems” that made the tour special and allowed us to see Milan from a completely different perspective. I highly recommend Milan for any visit to Milan.

Alice Salvagnin, with MILAN PRIVATE TOURS, is as smart and charming as she is beautiful.
The city of Milan should hire her as a tourism advisor.
We started out at the Duomo, Alice, explained all the basics and all the little details, that can't be found in guidebooks, little details like who paid for the building being built, how architecture styles were blended where the stone came from, why and what kind of stone was used, how the stone is being cleaned today. Alice pointed out little features of the Duomo that most people overlook. Pay close attention to St Bartholomew
We then went under the piazza into a Hidden gem, that is as interesting as it was cool, a little cavern, that not many people know about.
Alice took me on a 5 minute walk to a little nearly empty church and explained a heartbreaking story about some children during the time of the plague,
It was then onto a quiet walk down a side street to a little Café for a break from the education and sight seeing.
Then on to the big moment for me, seeing the last supper. After a bus ride and a short wait, we were standing in front of the last supper.
Alice once again explained little details of the painting, how it was painted, how long it took, the genius of how perspective was used, a very memorable 15 minutes.
Money well spent in my opinion for an afternoon of education and sightseeing.
Thank you Alice !

There's only one thing that's better than a day with Alice in Milano. And that is a second day with her in Milano. In the first tour we did the typical streets and alleys. A year later we did Villa Necchi Campiglio, a home museum with furniture, dresses, belongings of a rich Milano family more than a hundred years ago. Plus incredible architecture. After that we went on the roof of the duomo, which was closed last time. It has a incredible views amongst the spires. We went to Bernadino alle Ossa, a hidden church with thousands of bones and skulls. And afterwards in a restaurant, that I will not make public. You can go there, eat 8 courses with wine and be the happiest person ever lived on this planet. Ask Alice about the address.

My wife and I spent two half days with Alice in Milan mid-september. Alice was very helpful in our Milan/Italy planning process. We had planned for a mix of major sights and hidden gems. She even managed to secure us some hard to get tickets for the Last Supper Viewing. It was incredible to walk the streets and inside the buildings as Alice dazzled us with the magnificent history of the city. It amazed us how many “hidden gems” were in plain sight but we would have never noticed on our own. Milan is so much more than fashion and business - we were shocked by how much art, history, and culture there is to this city!
Alice is a local and so passionate about her city. She welcomed us and treated us like close friends instantly. We absolutely recommend everyone to spend at least one or more days with her to truly experience Milan and embrace all it has to offer.

I had the most wonderful tour experience with Alice on my recent trip to Milan. She is extraordinarily knowledgeable, and has an energy and vitality that makes time fly and leaves you wanting more. She helped me gain a deeper understanding Leonardo’s The Last Supper, and her knowledge of the Duomo is likely unequaled. What sets her apart is her pacing and perfect sense of timing—just enough content is provided in just the right amount of time to keep the tour moving briskly in a way that sustains interest. She makes the marvelous history and monuments fresh and interesting. I have used many guides before and Alice is among the very best.

Together with my wife, we enjoyed two half day tours with Alice. Alice is extremely good company, personable, and very passionate about Milan. She is keen to share her insights and loves sharing the "hidden gems" of the city, which are largely overlooked. We thoroughly enjoyed both tours and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Milan Private Tours.

I recently had an opportunity to visit Milan for a day and wanted to see as much as possible. The reviews led me to Alice and the experience was spectacular. Alice did a great job of communicating before the tour, provided a phone number so I could contact her in case of any issues (for example, our meeting place ended up getting fenced off for a concert), and showed up right on time. This may seem minor, but having done a fair number of private tours in Europe, this is very important for someone's first trip to a new city. The tour itself was perfectly paced and I got to see things that I certainly wouldn't have found otherwise. In addition to the tour, Alice provided great insights into other things I might want to see as well as some suggestions for where to eat as well as what to eat. I don't think I could have asked for more.

What a wonderful introduction to Milan! Alice took me on a day’s tour of her beloved city, promising many hidden gems that most people never see. Standing in the first of these, literally underneath the pavement in front of the Duomo, alone with Alice, I immediately knew this was going to be special. Alice is so knowledgable, crafts her tours to fit with you, takes time to check your priorities and adjust things accordingly. Of course we saw the main sights but you get to know a place so much better when a local lets you into some of their secrets. I would thoroughly recommend Alice to you if you are thinking of coming to Milan.

We had a wonderful 3 hour tour with Alice on our quick stop through Milan. I was given her information from a friend, and as soon as I reached out to Alice she was very prompt in her response. She crafted a tour around a couple items that we wanted to see, and then she surprised us with a few new "hidden gems" to see. She was punctual, informative, and most importantly passionate about Milan. Her love of the city radiates as she gives you information of the past and how the city has changed over time. She directed us in additional places to visit on our own, and also gave us a wonderful dinner recommendation. We loved our time together, and would most definitely call her again when we visit Italy!

This was our first time in Milan and we wanted to see and learn it all! Alice was an amazing private guide. First, she is a breath of fresh air. Her charismatic and friendly nature was contagious. It was clear that she aspired to be a private tour guide her whole life and it was important for her to show us not only the “must see” attractions of Milan but also the “hidden gems” that most people would never know existed. It was clear that Alice was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and current happenings of Milan. She also knew how to navigate around some of the local people and rules in some of the attractions. You must be able to keep up with Alice because she makes sure that your experience covers a lot of territory and shares fascinating information. We highly recommend Milan Private Tours! Tell Alice we said hello!
