Well worth a visit, beautiful and it does not cost a thing. A hidden gem, and very nice staff. Better than the Sistine chapel in my opinion

Forget about queuing for an hour or so to see the inside of the Duomo, which is OK but it isn't a patch on the inside of the Chiesa di San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore! It's breathtaking and free. You won't be disappointed. Plus they...More

A masterwork which can be visited in 10 minutes...or more if you spend time basking in its beauty. Hard to believe I could find such beauty within 15m walking distance of Duomo, that too totally off the tourist routes. There wasn't a soul in line,...More

This we saw as a part of our two hour guided tour of the Last Supper in the Cenacolo . Interesting history and beautiful frescoes, hidden for view. Surrounded by Roman ruins as well. Well worth it.

Free admission to a beautiful church. Don’t let the outside appearance scare you away. Floor-to-ceiling frescos with no waiting in line. A hidden gem in Milan!

our tour guide said that behind the plain exterior buildings of Milan there are beautiful gems, and The Church of San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore was the perfect example. It was incredibly beautiful. Well worth the visit and close to the Duomo

I just stumbled upon this after visiting the Archeological Museum next door--wow-- the frescos are fantastic. Be sure to go to the back convent area. In all my trips to Italy, this is one of the most memorable churches I've ever seen.

Hi Freddyblu! Although the church of San Maurizio is still consecrated, masses are no longer being celebrated there. Nevertheless, you should visit the church to see its beautiful frescoes.
